Brutal

Halfway through the term at the ILIA, and I feel like I am beaten with sticks.

It's very satisfying to be learning techniques and methods that have really improving the content of my work (at least I think so), and feeling like I'm an actual artist is the best thing in the world. You earn it, though. In Spades.

Soon, work on The Book (no, not That Book, the Other Book) begins and I am both eager and terrified to embark on this perilous journey. Still totally going to do it, though. Can't NOT do it.

THe funny thing is, there's no major for illustration at the Institute. The closest I got was Media Arts and Animation. After the class I'm in, there's ONE other drawing class and that's pretty much it.

It's moot, anyway, as I have to go back to work after this term, anyway. It was a wild ride while it lasted, and I've learned a lot and met some cool folks, but it's time to rejoin the grind. The economy's been brutal on Yours Truly and Mrs. Yours Truly.

I'm a LITTLE glad...nights classes plus full day of work= soul murder.
